i beilib in you
but how do i compete when i havent been in highschool in ten years
#ai how do i get into a computer science course in university that is competitive when im a highschool dropout that hasnt been to school in a decade canada:
1. Obtain a high school equivalency certificate: In Canada, you can obtain a high school equivalency certificate by passing the General Education Development (GED) test or the Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT). This will show universities that you have the basic knowledge and skills required to succeed in their computer science program.
2. Upgrade your education: Consider enrolling in adult education programs or taking courses at a community college to upgrade your academic credentials. This will not only improve your chances of getting into university but also prepare you for the rigors of a computer science program.
3. Build relevant skills and experience: Although having formal education is important, many universities also look for practical skills and experience when considering applicants. You can build these through online courses, workshops, internships, or volunteering opportunities related to computer science.
4. Write an exceptional personal statement: Use this opportunity to explain why you dropped out of high school and how you have developed yourself academically since then. Highlight any relevant experiences or achievements that demonstrate your passion for computer science and readiness for university-level studies.
5. Prepare well for entrance exams: Many universities require applicants to take standardized tests such as SATs, ACTs, or Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT). Make sure to study hard and perform well on these exams as they play a significant role in the admissions process.
6.Devise alternative options: If traditional admission routes do not work out initially, consider applying as a mature student or transferring from another institution after completing some prerequisite courses at community college.
7.Consider smaller schools with less competitive admissions requirements: Look into smaller universities that may offer more flexible admission processes compared to larger institutions with highly competitive programs like those in Toronto or Vancouver.
8.Reach out to admissions counselors/advisors at prospective universities: They can provide valuable information about specific admission requirements and ways to strengthen your application based on individual circumstances.
9.Network with professionals in the field: Attend career fairs, conferences, and events related to computer science. This will not only help you gain insights into the industry but also create opportunities for networking with professionals who can provide guidance on getting into a university program.
10.Be persistent and determined: Getting into a competitive computer science course as a high school dropout is not easy, but it is possible. It will require hard work, dedication, and determination. Stay focused on your goal and continue working towards it despite any setbacks or rejections along the way. how do i get into a computer science course in university that is competitive when im a highschool dropout that hasnt been to school in a decade canada:

!boymodewng
i think enrolment will be different fo mature students
yeah but they dont make it clear how
!boymodewng
yeah but just email them
i will do that
!boymodewng
they're really nice becaues they think they might get money from you so they'll work with you
maybe i should just do the free MIT compsci course
!boymodewng
no
do you think if i talk about how i was like a drug addict and mentally ill and faced adversity it would soften them up
!boymodewng
the benefit of a university degree is the networking, and the degree, the MIT course would just be purely for self benefit, which is totally fine! but it won't help you find jobs

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
I went to community college and it was really easy to get into the main state school near me with my associates degree
it’s actually automatic if you do a specific program but I didn’t
I would just focus on telling them your goals and asking very specifically what you need to do and breaking down each task into little tiny things, like ‘you’ll need to apply.’ - “can you show me the website and what I’ll need?” if it makes it easier for you it’s worth asking. you don’t need to impress anyone with artificially adding difficulty or having a huge story, just get as many resources as you can

badass
do u ppl think that trans ppl was the main cause for the left losing in the elections?
>>24096
no
they think it was more likely out of harris being a woman or more likely failing to appeal to the working class
>>24098
good point.
so next dem candidate........... maybe walz
i heard that walz was doing a lot of the working class adverting, but that because of that it was tied more to him and forgotten than kamala (who is the name people actually needed to tie things to)
they tried to appeal to the middle class more
also this fucking sucks, but trump got like
all the white guys under 25 sort of demographic too
so like
you gotta market to the white guys under 25 :<
tbh (and this fucking sucks) but the only people who really cared about minority rights during the election were minorities or those closely related to them. Soooooooooo basically the whole thing on "do minorities deserve support" ends up being not relevant to the voting question of "will this guy make it easier to get money at work" or something similar

hi
“The plastic coating in the cans is what makes it safe to eat. If the food was in contact with the metal of the can, you would get small amounts of heavy metals in the food. That's why you should never buy cans of food that are bent, the plastic lining can be broken. I think that the metal leached from the can would be much worse for your health than the extremely small amount of any additives from the plastic, even if you heat it.”
