I guess they have acted like this before. I hope everything is ok. telegram can be really great.
ok my friend just said telegram seems to be deleting some of the messages sent to her and showing senders ‘sent’ so grrrrr
but I think signal would have to make some changes to be like telegram
Durov is a French citizen, I don't think they're going to be able to hold him for much longer
if all the feds have on him is "you didn't prevent criminals using your app to do illegal things", what the hell is he supposed to have done?
there are plenty of foss apps that use genuine end2end encryption where outsiders absolutely positively cannot know what you're sending, are all of those developers gonna get arrested too?
i think there rly should be some middle ground between illegal-activity-heaven and big-brother-police-state but if the solution is to just build backdoors that only "the good guys" can get into, it feels like a waste
