#smartai what is prelapsarian time?

Prelapsarian time refers to the period of existence before the fall of man in Christian theology. This concept originated from the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible, where they were living in a state of innocence and harmony with God before being tempted by Satan and ultimately disobeying God's commandment. In this prelapsarian time, humanity was believed to have a closer relationship with God, without any sin or suffering present. It is seen as an idealized version of life that has been lost due to human actions. The word "prelapsarian" comes from Latin roots meaning "before falling."
what is prelapsarian time?

i tell this to my really linux pilled friend she loves linux but im like, if its a security thing just have a linux computer for any datahandling or anything sensitive and a windows computer for shit like riot games (vanguard) or any of the other hundreds of games that dont work on linux or apps that only work on windows and such that you need.
>>115000

if i have internet and like discord and texting and calling thats probably enough, being real

i mean ive been on linux on my laptop for 7 years or something i dont use mac or windows at all
CravingSadThings
as a gamer its just not convenientt
anon
idk proton is fucking amazing nowadays
CravingSadThings
yea every linux user tells me that and every linux user also doesnt play whatever the newest game is with me because it doesnt work. like every fucking time lol.

anon
steamdeck really made it super good
anon
>>115003
i dont play the newest game because i only have a laptop and its 7 years old
CravingSadThings
thats what I meant though, Im a gamerr
anon
it *can* run anything
anon
almost anything
CravingSadThings
it cant, it cant run shit like Vanguard
CravingSadThings
and more and more companies are moving towards solutions like that beacuse cheating is just insanely hard to fight
anon
idk it can run a couple anticheat stuff, yeah probably nothing kernel level unless it has a native linux release but holy shit i dont want that on my computer anyways
CravingSadThings
most of them are saying, well Riot specifically says its not doing native linux support because its just too small of a market to cater too, same with MacOs
anon
i will never play a riot game
CravingSadThings
i like valorant its a girl gamer game :)
anon
thats fair but i like weird autistic indie games and 100% of them work well
anon
its only like big name triple a games that wont work and only if they specifically have kernel anticheat
CravingSadThings
yeaaa i like a lot of competitive or live service gamess that really want fairness
anon
idk i run a handful of largeish games that have anticheat and its not a problem most you have to do is fuck with directx a bit or just randomly click proton versions until one works
CravingSadThings
i used to play tarkov but the cheating is so badd that I cant play it anymore its just fun
anon
i play some fighting games they all have antichear and work fine
CravingSadThings
its just not* fun
CravingSadThings
i cant play fighting games my brain amd manual dexterity arent high enoughhh.

tbh me neither but i have a lot of friends that like them so I was kind of dragged into them as a kid the only video game i was allowed to play befor emy parents go rid of all the computers in our house was warcraft iii and age of empires ii so I like rts/mobas because of that
anon
like league of legends and etc wont work but i feel like thats a blessing i have an excuse to just say no if im ever invited
anon
"oops haha it doesnt work on my computer sorrieeeeeee"
CravingSadThings
i like league but the new season its literally a dead game which makes me sad i really liked last season
CravingSadThings
but its just fully cooked the player based is imploding
anon
ive played it like 3 total times and fucking hated it lol
anon
idk i guess if there was a windows game i realllllly wanted to play id rather get a seperate laptop for it, i fucking hate not having control over the system i spend like a quarter of my waking hours using
>>115037
CravingSadThings
yea its not for everyonee i dont really like teaching people the game because its a really specific kind of thing that isnt going to appeal to most people. and you cant like play it once or twice and have fun you literally have to play it for dozens of hours to have the basic proficiency to just
CravingSadThings
play the game
CravingSadThings
>>115034
well i know there can be problems with some software too like the malware that is adobe pdf applications (they are literally fucking malware)

>>115039
CravingSadThings
>>115038
theres actually some really good utilities now you can download and run that just STRIPS windows of all the bloat in like 10 minutes but they kind of scare me because they go so deep into the system. but they work really good and are fast.
>>115041
anon
I cant just turn everything i dont want off on linux, not allowed to do that on windows or mac
anon
its genuinely more effort to do that fully than to just setup linux >>115039
anon
And i dont trust them to get everything and idk
anon
I dont want to have to fight the system you know
CravingSadThings
> forced updates these are good actually though
CravingSadThings
like windows updates, the security updates are really fucking good
anon
i mean you can set up linux to "force" updates, arch gets an update like every 36 minutes
CravingSadThings
yeaa xD
CravingSadThings
no, I get u like I hate the future I hate microsoft. if i could I would be using windows XP or 7 forever but tbh the security updates and also the monopolization of all software being automatically designed to work on 11 are big advantages especially if you do any kind of government or office work
>>115051
anon
I cant fucking imagine my computer going "sorry im going to shut down now and theres NOTHING you can do to stop me because fucking bill gates wants to put more spyware on the most intimate piece of data storage in your life" hurkkkk
CravingSadThings
compatability with all these beaurocracy applications and websites is really important for the work I do
anon
>>115048
i mean idfk i genuinely havent had more than like a half dozen things i couldnt run in almost a decade on linux
>>115052
CravingSadThings
>>115051
i get it, i get that you like linux, but FR half these websites dont even work on any one specific browser.
CravingSadThings
I need chrome, edge and firefox (and opera) and a lot fo the time I have to switch between all these different browsers and update security certificates constantly just to get them to work, Imnot saying linux isnt useful or unpluigging off the grid isnt bad but trust there is a metric fuck ton of shit that doesnt work on linux
>>115056
anon
idk i use an autistic stripped down version of firefox with a bunch of security features built in and sites cant even tell that im not using normal firefox
CravingSadThings
its... its not just 'sites' its like, specific government applications and stuff
>>115058
anon
>>115053
idk, i thought there would be too before i switched but really its once in a blue moon and most of the time i can solve it anyways by just downloading an extra package or changinf a setting or something
CravingSadThings
thats good.i like linux im glad people use it because its open source and windows is evil.
anon
>>115055
wine is really good now too
anon
Its nearly identical to windows its really rare it cant run something and most of the time its like ancient fucking applications like byond for ss13 which hasnt been updated since like 2003
CravingSadThings
byond is so fucking satanic holy shitttt
CravingSadThings
I kind of feel like Linux is a cult because ive never talked to someone who uses linux that hasnt been like "i can run everything" but then cant run everything.
>>115062
anon
>>115061
what if we can actually run everything tho
anon
i cant even remember the last piece of software i truly couldnt run
anon
id gladly spend 15 minutes digging thru a forum to run an app thay doesnt work automatically like once a year
CravingSadThings
until something happens and you are relying on a 3rd party to do volunteer work for free to get something working because software moved up again. thats what always happens to linux from my perspective software gets really stable and everythign runs great and then the technology and software change and it takes years for all the different distros and packages to be updated by volunteers to get things working again.

like i watched a 1hr video essay on the sillyness of GTA V online working then not working on linux and its like 4 years of off and on weather its working or it isnt
>>115067
anon
in exchange for getting that evil satanic microsoft shut out of my life
anon
>>115065
like what tho, idk, i genuinely cant think of something that doesnt work off the top of my head besides riot games exactly
anon
and byond
CravingSadThings
i assume there are probably problems with adobe somehow because that application is literally satanic and evil and linxus is inherently morally good and it wont run it because it will detect its evil and try to purge its circuits :3
>>115071
anon
and like worse case scenario i can just pop it in a virtual machine and that truly does run everything windows does its literally a full fledged windows instance except its super safe bc it has 0 access to the system outside of itself it cant even tell its being emulated
anon
>>115069
oh yeah i tried to get photoshop like 4 years ago and couldnt get it to work thats another thing i guess
anon
I mean yeah idk personally like all of the shit that doesnt work is from evil companies and i want to use an alternative anyways
anon
Gimp is exactly the same and it doesnt scream at you to buy cloud space or whatever every time you open it
anon
idk i dont mean to prosletyze i know thats annoying but. i just think a lot of the hesitations people have about linux either dont exist or are so easy to solve. and theres so much peace of mind knowing your system is really yours and isnt feeding mark zuckerburg your bank pin every 30 seconds
i like sad things
like i have to use specific evil programs sometimes for work
>>115077
anon
>>115076
i do have a shitty macbook pro i use specifically for work and school
anon
but thats more of like. idk not wanting to carry my personal comfy setup with me, i want it to be safe at home
i like sad things
i hate macos so much apple is even more evil than Microsoft i hate them
>>115081
i like sad things
I'm glad Steve Jobs is dead
anon
>>115079
idk i dont see much of a difference it feels like idk joe biden vs mitt romney or something
anon
sure one is a bit better than the other but they are both satanic evil demonic beings who would sooner crush your neck under a fucking steam roller than give you a breath mint
i like sad things
i just specifically don't like all the proprietary hardware shit windows doesn't dominate hardware so with windows you get lots of repairability and rights as a user
anon
thats fair
anon
idk i loved windows 7 when it was good waaaay back in the day
i like sad things
stripped windows 7 is great and efficient but not supported anymore t_t. take me back to windows XP
anon
when they stopped supporting 7 i never looked back
anon
also i think linus is generally more secure because who the fuck is gonna write a virus for like a specific distro that 0.001% of ppl use
i like sad things
its more common now because there are more Linux users
>>115091
i like sad things
same with mac no one wrote viruses for them then they got bigger
anon
>>115089
dont use ubuntu then xd its the mac of linux and anything targeting linux is gonna be targeting ubuntu

id like to see a bitcoin miner TRY and grab my whole cpu
