YEAH if you ever played kerbal and you ever want to use something long range that doesnt take literal decades to get anywhere (cough ion engines) youhave to use nuclear engines and they basically just ported in the exact stats of the TEST ENGINE we made once and never even flew just did ground tests

It's the shit ass proof of concept version and it STILL beats out every other engine in the game by a long shot

imagine if we made them full scale they literally dont even having moving parts except the rods to throttle the generator and the valve to release the working liquid and those arent even strictly necessary it could be a single solid block and still work in theory

and gimbaling and whatever but they're PERFECT they just pass over a liquid and it gets hot as fuck and expands like crazy from the latent heat of the reactor so you get insane fuel efficiency you dont have to make more dense molecules to make it run, it would work with literally any liquid
