i don't think u need to suffer to make it happen honestly, i think a lot of people don't realize that, yeah, when people are sad they create art that can be good whether because it's relatable, interesting and or passionate, etc. but the real challenge is making art when you feel content, because it's during those moments in which people tend to not have anything to express since they're busy enjoying what they're experiencing. personally that's why i love Leaves of Grass, because it's just joy of living and it's so great to read and it makes me happy
