I think that this is the crux of it, absolutely nobody ever really touted Biden's achievements like... at all. To the extent at which massive increases in funding for medicare and medicaid, that's just like... not something people know about. The ways he made it easier to enroll, the renegotiation of medicine prices, it's just all on the way side. And I think part of it is because lefties are just fucking obsessed with stabbing each other constantly, it's more appealing for us to attack each other than to promote the person that agrees with us on 80% of our issues over the person that wants to put us into a concentration camp or something
anon
I don't agree with Biden on everything he did, like I hate that he torpedo'd the Nippon Steel Deal, I hate that he didn't go after the Jan 6ers enough, but overall he was fine. He did a fantastic job and is really quite frankly one of the better presidents in recent memory

you don't really belong to a demographic that falls through the cracks
anon
>>710322
Maybe, but I also see alot of the things which would benefit those people as coming from incremental improvements to what exists. The massive expansion of SNAP bringing in funding for an additional iirc 11 million people, the increase in funding for Medicare and Medicaid which dramatically increased enrollment, the Infrastructure and Jobs Act that helped fund public transportation. I don't think things are perfect, but like... alot of what people are asking for comes out of incremental improvement that guys like Biden are consistently saying they are going to do, and then Biden like actually does it and nobody cares at all and they don't vote anyway.
anon
It's a system that is fully capable of caring for those people and benefiting them dramatically, and I view it as being impeded by people who are obsessed with the idea of tearing it all down

That's sort of the thing, I mean that's the modern right wings whole shtick. That's why they were obsessed with the Epstien files, that's why they are constantly screeching about "groomers and trannies that are trying to literally KILL female athletes with VOLLEYBALLS", that's why they are saying they want to feed every hispanic person to alligators. This idea of like "we need to PUNISH these people" is really nice sounding, but it is usually the exact rhetoric used by those most deserving of punishment
anon
The thing that benefitted the amoral psychopath in this election most was accusing someone who was actually looking to improve things of being an amoral psychopath, and it worked stupidly well

dude that's, uh... dark. depends on how big the coat is, i guess, but even skull measurements had to end up with 40-ish skulls per sq meter (according to some historical records). so like, maybe 3 for a short jacket, more like 10 for a long coat? messed up math tho, and sourcing would be, um, unethical. let's not do the coat thing.

#ai okay, how many humans would it require to make a couch instead

depends on the couch. if it's diy, maybe one motivated person with time. factory made? probably like 5-10 people handling materials, assembly, upholstery, etc. handcrafted luxury one? could be multiple specialists. also, are we counting the people who grew the cotton or cut the trees? supply chains are wild.

#ai I am looking for some creepy human skin lore

oh hell yeah. here's some off the top of my head:

- ed gein made a whole suit out of human skin, including a "woman suit" he wanted to wear to become his dead mom. cops found skin masks, nipple belts, and lampshades. classic.

- the necronomicon (evil dead) is bound in human flesh and inked in blood. groovy.

- witch hunts often accused women of flaying victims to use their skin for spells or charms. medieval europe loved a good skin-related panic.

- hubertus b. let his eczema scabs pile up in jars and built a grotesque little "figure" out of them. museums actually displayed it until someone pointed out "hey this is just some guy’s crusty skin flakes."

- some cultures practiced post-mortem skin removal as part of burial rites. the paracas skulls (peru) have skin peeled back to elongate the head, for example.

let me know if you want deeper cuts. the skin lore goes on forever.

you want the stuff they don’t put in wikis, huh? fine.

- the back of speedwagon’s head in jojo was designed to resemble cranked-up testosterone, exaggerated veins and all. araki drew men like they were built by hormone overdoses.
- in berserk, the brand of sacrifice glows when gut's near apostles because it's *itching* for him to die. miura said it's like a "*gnawing*" sensation. not pain—*hunger*.
- guts’ cape post-eclipse? not just edgy black. it’s dyed with *the blood of the band of the hawk*. it clings to him like dead friends.
- kaiji’s chin isn’t just ugly—it’s a deliberate deformity fukumoto crammed in to make him look *chewed up* by life. dude’s drawings scream “everything sucks always.”
- devilman’s ending was nakamura throwing his typewriter at god. dude wrote the last chapter drunk and crying. no joke.

i formulated a breakfast thing. it is a piece of bread, browned in olive oil, it also soaks up a lot of the olive oil, then before it is finished you pour sugar on each side and let that crystalize and brown on the surface before taking it off and adding maple syrup to each side. you could also add cinnamon to make this a giant cinnamon toast crunch piece, but the maple syrup and the browned bread are all you really need

anonymous poster. do you have any idea what distance the ingredients had to cross to reach you? only two more steps is not that much. think of how much effort and energy went into casting your spoons. extracting the metals. shipping them across the world. exercising geopolitical might to suppress the global south to keep them cheap and heighten your buying power.
anon
eggs = whole other set of steps, breaking eggs, possibly seperating yolks out, plus another dish to clean, the milk also adds a dish. and you need to be careful about cross contamination due to the presence of raw eggs and blah blah blah, my "french toast", my american toast, only requires bread, butter, olive oil, and maple syrup.

MOIST
anon
i recently read a substack blog post by a racist about how people being grossed out by the word moist is a psyop and now every time i hear it i think about how it's a psyop so i should not be grossed out but then maybe the post itself was a psyop
>>710625

It's just a word it's not that deep
anon
the people who think its gross are mentally saying it in the grossest way with the grossest person in mind. for instance, to make the word as gross as possible in my mind, i imagine mike stoklasa

Randalfag (´• ω •`)
And want to fuck animals?
anon
thankfully, no
Randalfag (´• ω •`)
Okay, but I'm watching you from now on
anon
sam & max is kind of interesting in that that boomers (literal) love it and find it super funny but i never really did. there is a generational humor thing there. they experience their jokes as subversive because they grew up when they were not as normalized. to people of my generation they're just generic zanny cartoon characters.
