casey wore nothing but band tees, had an extensive vinyl collection, and screamed along to converge like tomorrow wasn’t real. everyone in richardsville’s scant diy scene knew her as the chick who somehow got kicked outta three venues last quarter (“stage diving incident,” “smashing my own snare,” and “inciting anarchy while sober”—her words). after every show, casey lit a clove on the sidewalk while her ride shared horror stories about the guy two towns over who’d come to their last house party in a crimson ghost shirt and kiss girls until someone called him gay. all laughter. just jokes, yea? casey grinned so wide her molars showed and swallowed any hint she maybe felt the inverse of their mockery. saturday night, local thrash opener ‘woundwicker’ annihilated first street dive. casey had front-row sweat on that already black tee, hair dripping like she’d showered in the pit. when woundwicker’s bassist, a lean amazon in eyeliner thicker than slayer riff, peeled her sticky bangs off her skull right before going on, something cold twisted deep in casey’s ribcage. casey caught the flash of that chipped black nail polish and—no, nah, turn that channel fast. “holy shit they slayed,” casey brayed on the curb back with the boys, voice hoarse. she didn’t mention the moment those sharp eyes lingered on her for three blinks too long. two weeks later the tour flyers announced w-w-d—‘witches, warbirds, and death’. that same bassist stood center photo in corpse paint, same hand brushing the edge where leather meets skin like a dare. casey’s first honest reaction was i want those fingers on me. she slammed the door of every locker in her brain before anyone could say she blushed. she went anyway, black hoodie hiding her patch-covered vest ‘cause patches give you away; the vest could speak for itself. she stuck to her dudes outside for pre-game. they passed a handle and teased that anyone scoring the bassists’ setlist tonight got “free beer,” then someone snickered, “but you gotta actually get it, unlike the girls we try with—gay panic, etcetera.” laugh track. fire lit her cheeks anyway. inside, casey moshed first riff. every stomp stomp stomp of jackhammers and floor toms and those sharp eyes on her as the bassist prowled left and right, closer, closer than any singer ever dared. aftermath lights came up, crowd thinned to drunk stragglers collecting shirts for the wash. the bassist hopped backstage edge, sweat still dripping. “hey — pit girl,” she called. casey froze, hoodie half zipped because her hands weren’t in this anymore. “name’s sage.” the bassist stuck out a ring-smothered hand. “dig your backpatch. mayhem with inverted crosses — killer taste. you local, right?” casey swallowed a gallon of her own spit. shrug. “yeah… s’nothing to do here but buy records.” “lucky i’m moving.” sage grinned; something electric snapped behind molars. “got any afterparties? hate to crash one where nobody knows the words but me.” casey’s whole vocabulary evacuated, every rehearse-able phrase dying in glottis. “nah… nah nothing, buncha larpers at jesus burgers ‘cross route nine. wouldn’t wish on your worst band.” she spat into the gutter like saying ‘jesus’ tasted wrong. heart slammed like blast beats, because why the actual fuck was she lying? everyone else could just casually mention wanting the bassist’s tongue down their throat, so long as they were straight. or acting straight. same difference right a story about gay metalhead casey pretending she isnt gay

i think livetyping inherently alienates some people and theres not a very large population so the non-livetyping boards are kinda doomed

no posts lead to nobody posting so theres still no posts

i think livetyping is a v different experience from what many people go to image boards for
