Hot sauce probably tastes good for people who can handle it but for me it hurts too much, I'd need years of conditioning.
Never heard of Texas Pete, but if it's your go-to, it'll just depend on whether you're feeling a little adventurous while you're at the store, right? Idk any spicy stuff, I had hot ramen once and couldn't eat it...

You can try making your way up with mildly spicy things like pepperoni. Hot sauce also can lose some of its strength through cooking, or diluting it with other non-spicy sauces. If it gets too much, have some bread, rice, or milk with you and it'll take most of the heat out from your mouth.
Texas Pete has ended up being my go-to since it ends up at most restaurants, and I just prefer it to Tabasco.

Thanks for the advice! I eat stuff with a bit of chilli sometimes, like spicy potato chips, but I usually don't finish the package and just give it to someone else... The milk thing is a good idea though, I'll try having milk at the ready next time
