i listened to the pod story on the other hacking/game dev mentor i had when i was in high school the other night (played the pod here n talked w peeps)
n she was a trans reverse engineer n hacker who was so incredibly smart n kind, was sent to a male prison for two years due to bein in a hacker group who went way too far in her teen years
but took a lot of lessons from peeps like this as they can tell poeeps how not to n how to create a code of ethics when thats rare in the scene nowadays

also i learned of how the supreme court decided in the past that the police can deny applications because someone is 'too smart'

and that police unions get them out of e v e r y t h i n g

yeah, theres also been good systems in some places where it worked like somewhat of a draft or community expectation, where members would do such n cus of that usually have their communitys needs at heart
