I don't actually feel a need to prep for an end of the world world, but I have serious valid worries about safety from natural disasters and pollution/climate change effects causing issues for my living here or being safe
but particularly the danger of being targeted for hateful, political, or vengeful reasons cus of who I am, the work I do stepping on the toes of n-zis, hate group types, or the state being mad I documented abuses etc
so like to have a plan for if things go that way,

I had to have that ingrained into me due to being around the hack(er/tivist) scene and knowing people from the 90s era and later 00s era of raids on the littlest of things

this is why I refuse to co-operate with cops directly at all, though that's also cus of the fed police leading to the suicide of my mentor cus they put her in a male prison as a trans hacker for IP law

he's a cool guy even if I disagree w his carrying, though in Utah its completely legal n I get why he did it but

this protest was not the move to do that particularly alone where the only real resistance wouldve been the police where if you have a weapon openly like that, you're just risking others safety due to the assured cop response
for something like pride in contested cities, you can have things like what John brown gun club did recently in - I think Colorado (?) - but that was an organized set of people wearing the same clothes and boots or such and having pride sashes across their chest, there to protect from counter protesters who will be armed with rifles themselves in such areas

but unless you anticipate a full blown massacre or escalation to live rounds, you're adding to the escalation and likelihood of live rounds, though this doesn't mean the cops wont start a cop riot no matter what
