new season didnt change much but added a bunch of dogshit mechanics that just feel bad

its not even that they are particularly imba they just feel extremely bad

for example the first team to get 2/3 of first blood, first turret or 3 dragons is allowed to buy super items the other team isnt

its just a lame mechanic

if you lose the early game but manage to drag the game out to 50 minutes and you are both full build the team with the feats is just stronger automatically, so there is factually no way to catch up once both teams are full build which to me undermines a core premise of the game that you can always make a come back through smart plays and macro

it also makes gold and experience less valuable, and accumulating those is a major component of skill expression in the game

yea and its actually terrible because people lose feats and immediately want to quit

so if you give up fb or someone dies and is fb their team immidately tilts and doesnt want to play anymore

i think it really is young people a lot of the time but I have a friend who is 27 and has a masters degree and acts like a 14 year having trouble adjusting to the new testosterone in his body when he plays league

I think the fact that games can evoke emotion, teach, have characters, and allow us into other worlds is what art is

art has style, it has subjective preference, it has aesthecism, it can have morals or ideas or be a fable, it can have characters, it can exist solely to be visualy appealing or soley to communit a feelying, world or idea.... sure not every game is art in the sense that its some grandiose snobby production but to say that random 1970s low budget kung fu movies isnt art is equally stupid..

just because they incorporate elements such as rules and winning and losing doesnt invalidate them as art. indeed many pieces of very famous performance art are games with rules that communicate so thought or feeling...
