i was pretty sad when i thought ai art would render drawing pointless. not because you could not produce better images or whatever, but because it made the struggle feel pointless. if it's just the fun there isn't the same sense of drama. it is impossible for someone to *need* you as an artist if a machine can do better. i had more, but it made me feel like i had less.

i feel like this is the best case scenario though. although society and social nature changes unrecognizably. everyone is provided for, everyone gets the unimaginable freedom of infinite creation and pursuits etc. that's much better than the more casual scenario that we are hurtling towards, where a bunch of slimy oligarchs control the ai and industry and just kind of ditch us to follow those dreams and leave us dead or in the dust
