but radios are pretty mmuch not very traceable so like .... it doesn't really matter, but if you're operating in an offical capacity (eg. atc pilot, radio station) then obviously you need it because uur name is tied to it

like there was a person who sat by chicago airport and would randomly transmit "go around" or "cleared to land" and there wasn't anything they could do about it other than say "be advised there is someone on the f requency who is pretending to issue ATC instructions, do not follow unless you confirm"
